Research Facilities

The Eskandar laboratory is part of the Massachusetts General Hospital Harvard Medical School Center for Nervous System Repair.

The laboratory consists of several rooms in the Edwards building of the Massachsusetts General Hospital (MGH). One room is dedicated to awake recordings and houses two state of the art radio-frequency shielded rooms by Acoustic Systems. Each shielded room has a complete electrophysiology rig (see below) with all necessary computers and hardware. The remaining rooms in the lab contain two shielded boxes, an electronics bench, and development and analysis stations.

The Electrophysiology Rigs

Each rig contains an optical tracking device, behavior-monitoring computers, and a sixteen-channel data acquisition system.
